Meet The Co-Chair
Dr. Ameena Ali is the Founder and Executive Director of the Federation of International Gender and Human Rights.
This Social Impact Organization (SIO) was founded in New York as a Sovereign Consulate with the mission to make specific and intentional protocol, protections and provisions for Gender and Human Rights, inclusively affordable and attainable to all indigent and underserved communities of domestic and foreign parentage.

In February 2020 she retired as a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been in Organic Medicine, Home-birthing and the Maternal Education of Women for over 30 years. In March of that same year, she was asked to return to medicine as a First Responder, in New York City at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
She is a proudly decorated and injured, Golf War Veteran with a service connection, disability rating of over 60%.
Dr. Ali is the first woman and woman of color to be elected as the 2020-2021 President-elect of the Rotary eClub of Social Innovators (RESI) Club, district 7090 and then first Woman and Woman of Color to ever hold that position for two consecutive terms, ending June 2022.

In 2018, she was appointed as a Special Envoy to UN Women Gambia with an accepted NGO/CSO Dossier for Rural Women’s Maternal Healthcare Access and offers solutions for our elders to be able to age-in-place, through her efforts as a member of The Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People.
She is the 2019 US Representative for the International Model UN Association and the newest member to the International Human Rights Commission in Geneva where she serves unrecognized Sovereign Tribes, undocumented International Cultures, Stateless, Landless and countless oppressed and displaced Indigenous Women around the world.
Recently, she was blessed to testify at:
• The January 2019 NYC Commission on Human Rights on Pregnancy and Caregiver Discrimination
• The February 2019, Council of the City of NY, Committee Report of the Infrastructure and Human Services Division Committee of Women, for the Committee Oversight Hearing on Improving the Gender and Cultural Diversity of Monuments Located in City Parks and
• The September 2019 NYC Pay Equity hearing as commissioned by the NYC Commission on Gender and Human Rights
In November 2020, she received assignment and was newly appointed a Special Consultative Status as the Director of Women’s Empowerment for the UN Department of Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) – Northern Citizen Community Board.
As of December 2021, she successfully trained and graduated over 230 Certified Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Advocates able to peer-train constituents, in over fifteen (15) Countries over five (5) Continents.
But her best accomplishment is being a Muslim Mother of (now) adult Daughters and “Nana” to fourteen (14) Grandbabies (with one born one day after her birthday, in August 2019 and one on her Birthday in 2020).
